I've decided that I'm weird. One day I am with some friends and have the best day I've had in a long time, then the next day, I am with them again.... but it's totally awkward.

hm. something to ponder.

Oh, and I am also feeling a bit grinchy this year. I want to do something more than just the buying and giving business. American Christmas is soooo commercialized... unlike Armenian Christmas, in case you didn't know. I think I may just go live in Lebanon. next year I am buying gifts for no one. well not really.... but i don't like what christmas has turned into. it's rather pathetic. buy and give buy and give. an endless cycle that has totally lost its meaning. why do we give people gifts?! I mean, I know why to a certain extent... but what really started all of this? what would people from other countries that have nothing think of the way we celebrate Christmas?

see. told you i was being a grinch.

gah!

Christmastime is here- Happiness and Cheer

Sometimes you have to hold on until told to let go. No matter if just releasing seems easiest. But, what is He telling you? Is there something you are holding on to just because you are afraid that if you let it go you won't ever find it again?

Finals are almost here... I think I am ready.. and I might actually be exempt from one of my finals... so I'll only have 2! :) And my final paper in my Folklore class is really fun. I got to spend like 3 hours with some of my most favorite people in the world last night. My final paper is on Armenian Christmas. I got to interview my friend Jennifer and her mom and it was so much fun. I laughed for such a long time. I never thought Jen's mom threw things, but she does :) hehe

Did you know that the Armenians celebrate Christmas on the 6th of November.... they pretty much rebelled against the Roman Empire (who moved it officially to the 25th of December for pagan reasons). Armenian Christmas is also a lot less commercialized. It was weird... just the other night I was wondering how they celebrate Christmas is heaven... I know it couldn't possibly be commercialized (duh). How beautiful would that be? And then Mrs. Jasmine told me that Armenian Christmas isn't commercialized, and it's all about going to church, Christ's birth, and being with family. Gifts aren't that important at all... but food,... well, that's another matter :)
Anyways, Christmas in heaven must be like Armenian Christmas- that is my conclusion, at any rate.

This semester was a wonderful one for learning, and I love to learn (oh, do I!)... but I still don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Well, scratch that. I know exactly what I want to do... but you have to have a "real" job nowadays so that you can "put food on the table." And what I want to do isn't "real." I can't live with my parents all of my life. There are lots of things I want to do as well. I just have to decide. I need to find a professional decision maker. I would almost (and I stress almost) rather have someone else make all my decisions for me and then I just have to live with them. But that is the mystery of life; decision making. That is a gift God gave to us humans. So, I must decide what I am going to do... or I could just go into the business of making decisions for people... I am sure there is at least one other person who may need some decisions made...
